The Arts Center of Cannon County presents a light-hearted, offbeat musical revue designed to de-stress and refresh you for the holidays with its production of A Christmas Survival Guide, November 30th through December 15th. Called “anxiety, isolation, desperation…the musical,” A Christmas Survival Guide takes a humorous look at the holidays with topics such as Christmas stress, office parties and a holiday-themed 12 step revelation. It is a look in the mirror to see how we cope with being single and alone under the mistletoe; be married with demanding kids to satisfy; being broke; being rich; being a department store Santa; and even being Elvis. This show will make you laugh at the pressure of the holidays while at the same time reminding us of the true meaning of the season. “Holiday dinner theatre shows have become annual events for many area businesses and organizations,” said Donald Fann, executive director of the Arts Center. “The number of available dates is limited and they run out quickly so we urge our patrons to make reservations early for good selection of dates and tables.” Performance dates are Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 13, 15 & 16. Tickets are $25 per person and include dinner, drink, dessert and the show. Susan Samford of the Filling Station Café will provide this year’s dinner. A Christmas Survival Guide is sponsored by Ruckart & Associates Inc. The Arts Center is located on 1424 John Bragg Highway, just west of the town of Woodbury, approximately 20 minutes from Murfreesboro, Manchester, and McMinnville and one hour southeast of Nashville. Office hours are 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., Monday through Saturday. For reservations or ticket information please call 615-563-(ARTS) 2787 or 1-800-235-9073. www.artscenterofcc.com
