COME CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY IN MORRISON ON FRIDAY JULY 4TH.BABY SHOW STARTS AT 4:00 ( BOYS & GIRLS 0-36 MONTHS), RAISING OF THE FLAG AT 5:00, KIDS GAMES AND BINGO, 6PM CAKE WALK, 7PM LIVE ENTERTAINMENT BY GLYDE, AND FIREWORKS AT 9:00PM.

The Lions Clubs of Warren County will be sponsoring an old-fashioned Bicentennial HoeDown from 6PM until ?, at the Rock Island Lions Club and Community House. There will be a live Band, Food, Games, Dancing, Cake Walks and Silent Auction. Contests for Best Beard and Dress (Old-fashioned dress encouraged, not required). You can have your picture taken with Members of the Bicentennial Royalty. There will be no admission charge at the door. Concessions, cakewalks, and such will carry a small fee to cover expenses. Doors will open at 6 pm for pictures. Attendees are encouraged to wear period attire. Tickets are $12.50 each and may be purchased at the office of County Executive John Pelham, the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce, McMinnville Civic Center, and Magness Library. Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay For Life®. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives. Won’t you join us this year and be a part of our "Relay Around the World!"

On March 20th, McMinnville-Warren County Senior Center, United Way and Warren County CARES will be serving ham quiche, toast and jelly, orange juice and coffee for $5.00.
