The Mountaineer Folk Festival will take place in the Village Green Area. Friday (September 5th) from 11:00a.m. until 10:00p.m. CST; Saturday (6th) 10:00a.m. until 10:00p.m. & Sunday (7th) from 10:00a.m. until 5:00p.m. Many of the best country, folk, bluegrass, and old time musicians are booked at this festival,which also includes a variety of craft demonstrations. The festival grounds will also be home to civil-war era re-encactments as well as mountain dance demonstrations such as clogging and buck-dancing. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the festivities beneath the large shade trees.
